Look, no offense, the only thing that's been "discredited" in this group
in
the last 2 months (since I've been here anyway)is the fact that the hams
(or
those professed to be so) are a bunch of whining azzholes. Some,
including
yourself, add MUCH needed tech/help. But MOST hams are only here for ONE
purpose, to disrupt the group.....
Let's get a few things straight: First, I'm not a ham.
Thought I read you were..np.
If you read a post where someone accused me of being a ham then you
should have also read my reply insisting I wasn't.
Second, there
are plenty of hams in this newsgroup that are illegal operators.
Don't care, didn't comment...none of my business(which is part of my point)
The point is that the trolling is neither exclusive nor limited to
hams. -Your- point was just the opposite.
Third, trolling doesn't require a ham license, nor does it require a
position on the legal/illegal issues.
Didn't say it did required a license. I said the alledged HAMS in this ng
are the ones MAKING the problems. FACT.
The problems in this group are because of the trolls, and only -some-
of them are hams. I hope you aren't suggesting that trolls are ok as
long as they aren't hams......
Fourth, CB radio doesn't exclude
hams, and many hams are also CB radio operators.
Didn't say it did/didn't. Made no comment.
Actually you did by suggesting that only hams are responsible for the
problems. I could turn the coin and say that the problems are caused
by illegal operators, but that's not true either.
Trolls are trolls, hams are hams, and CBers are CBers. This is true
regardless of which group they claim to represent, regardless of their
stance on illegal operation, and regardless of the fact that there
will always be a few malcontents that will try to make everyone else's
life as miserable as their own. If you can't make these distinctions
then you might as well start trolling now because that's what you will
end up doing later on.
Blah, blah, look, maybe you missed my point or I wasn't clear. I'm damn
positive that cb'ers are cb'ers and hams are hams!! I'm also positive that
trolls are trolls....but thanks for pointing out the obvious. MY POINT was
that so far, the trolls seem to be hams that are doing NOTHING but shaking a
hornets nest in regards to what's legal/illegal, name-calling and just
general disruption of rec.radio.CB. And I CAN AND DID make the friggin'
distinction!! I'm the one saying the disgruntled hams are causing the
trouble!! How could I possibly make that point MORE distinct?
For starters, you can answer a simple question: Are there trolls on
this group that -aren't- hams?
And I won't "end up trolling", Dr Crane....but I appreciate the online
psychological exam all the same. I'm just glad I didn't pay for it:-).
Don
I guess I have to draw a picture...... the trolls, whoever they are,
will pose as anybody as long as it suits their purpose. They use loose
associations and behaviors to make the regulars believe that the troll
is some other person. As far as I know, Doug hasn't posted here in a
couple years, yet everyone thinks the trolling is coming from him
because he is so hated by so many. The same thing happened with Mark
Fuller, Leland Scott and and a few others. And the character "George"
was obviously the result of a troll meant to taunt Twist because of
his staunch anti-Bush position -- George Bush/George Busch -- get it?
So why do they do this? Because they are screwed up individuals that
have no control of their own life and feel the need to control the
lives of other people. They get a buzz whenever people like you fall
for their tactics. And that's exactly what you are doing when you jump
into the 'hams vs. CBers' slugfest -- meanwhile, the trolls that
incited this melee sit back, watch the action and laugh.
But hey, if you like playing the fool that's your business.
