I have a Cobra 7 Ultra CB radio that I have stashed in the car.
The antenna connector to the unit need to be redressed. Can
I just get a new connector and replace the old one, or is this a tuned line?

The anntenna base is magnetic. The antenna is aboaut 18 inches long and
screws on to this magnetic base.
