That's an antenna for the VRC-12 family of radios. Remote-control
switched tuning from 30 to 75 MHz. It won't tune down to 27 MHz, but
it could be modified to do so with a few component changes.



Probably not very efficient? Might make a better 6 meter antenna? Just
speculating.



Actually, the length isn't too far away from 27 MHz if the matching
unit is bypassed. It still requires matching but not much. The remote
control would be too much of a pain to wire for a CB, so I would just
rip out the guts and put in a simple L-pad and SWR coupler.
