Not techs -- VOODOO techs. Eitner claimed to be the "CB amp god" but
never built a high-power tube amp, Skippy's best explanation of how a
grounded-grid triode works is "it's part of a bigger picture", Toll
Free claims to have over 5000 CBer friends in the greater San Diego
area, etc. There were all kinds of CB myths to dispell, like "Bird
watts", "swang", "modulators", compression, clipping, grounding....
and the newsgroup favorite: "you need 18 feet of coax". Maybe you
should have been here for those discussions before you start casting
stones.
