Accident scene regular suffers leg injury in crash

TAUNTON -- A city pedestrian was hit by a car at the intersection of Winthrop and High streets around 9:20 a.m. yesterday while
crossing the road.

Danny Sulham, 28, of 21 Walnut St., was taken by ambulance to Morton Hospital and Medical Center to be treated for a suspected
broken leg, according to the police and fire departments.

The driver of the vehicle that hit him, Sharilyn Gunderson, 19, of Rumford, R.I., was not immediately cited for any wrongdoing,
police said.

Sulham is a regular at fire and accident scenes. He frequently cruises around the city on a bicycle while carrying a police and fire
radio scanner. He has been featured in the Daily Gazette in the past for Good Samaritan acts such as attempting to save a cat from a
tree and putting out a car fire.

Patrolman Timothy White was the lead police officer at the scene. The accident is currently under investigation.
