The phone traffic you are hearing on the 29 is images or harmonic
ghostings of the actual cell phone signals. The 90 is built to filter
these images out.




That's why these older scanners are still in such demand these days.
Unsavory, sticky-fingered jerks still clamor for such scanners cause they
can use this image problem to circumvent the cell-block. Oh well.
