Much thanks for reply.
Am a member of the software group, but thought I'd try here first.
Have always gotten quicker replies here.
Could you just tell me about this, if you get a minute:
If I put in the talk group numbers as you suggest, what about
the control frequencies ?
I'm real confused about the necessity about (also) putting in these Control
frequencies.
Is this too required ? Where would it go in the software?
And,
In the Scanner Master book, 9 ed.,, page 124 for Troop A/H:
Are these listed 856. xxx, etc. frequencies "Control Frequencies" ?
2. If not, how does one go about finding the Control Frequencies to
enter ?
3. In the Police Call book, page 283:
Are these numbers like 33200 what's called "Talk Group Tags"
4. Which does one enter in the 780 ?
-Frequencies, or Talk group Tags ? Both, or either?
-Does either "get you there"
Thanks again,
Bob
You would put all the freqs in whatever bank you want them in. Make sure
you turn trunking on for each freq(3rd row over). Click on trunk at the
top and choose system settings and set bank 1 for Motorola typeII 800MHz
(I think you said it was a typeII). Click on the trunk again and enter
in the talk groups you want to hear. Under the setup at the top you can
select Bank tags and name the bank to what you want. Where ever you see
"tag" is where you can put a name in for the ID or freq. If you have
anymore problems we could go to email and I could send you my mem file
so you could see what it should look like.
