I have them (stock number 33-1198 not -1158), but never tried them at a
racetrack. Never used them for any extended period either. (I bought them
to use for ham radio use at a loud public serivce event .. but ended up
using something else)

They seem to be well built, and very similar to "commercial" headsets.

My advice ... buy a pair just before a race. Use them and see what you
think. If you don't like them then just return them under RS's excellent
return policy.
