I was tempted to consider this model. However, it doesn't have total
coverage in frequency range. My other choice would be ICOM R5 due to
its small size and total coverage (less cellular). If I do get R5,
then would I not be able to listen to trunked signals?
You may want to reconsider the PRO-95 if you want to listen to a
trunking system. The US R5 has a good portion of the 800 band blocked
and may keep you from hearing the trunking freqs in your area. If it
does let you hear them, you still will not be able to follow the
conversations.
