It was on a webtv newsgroup. webtv also has what is known as "club
newsgroups".
These are moderated newsgroups in which the moderator can ban you from
the
newsgroup by using the code from your webtv box, so that you're not able
to post there even if you try to.
I guess that might explain it.
I've never been unfortunate enough to have to resort to webtv.
