Go for the BC898-T. It's basically a newer, improved version of the BC895-XLT, for about the same money.

I'm in the market for a new scanner. One that has PL decode. Presently I'm looking at the Uniden BC 895 or the Uniden BC-898T. My question to the group is which one would you buy and why ? Presently, I'm listening to mostly Vhf conventional and no trunking or APCO 25 stuff.
