SWLing definitely had a different flavor back then !

The good old days!
Starting in the 50's.
Commies to the left of us, Commies to the right of us.
Them days are long gone, but boy were they the days!

Can you believe that a good portion of the American populace expected
the USSR to "win" the "inevitable" nuclear war? Or that the CIA knew
everything about the Soviet Union except the fact that it was near
collapse?

Cuban jammers are really doing a number on Radio Marti on 15330 ..

LOL

Voice of Korea and Radio Marti are two of the last vestiges of the Cold
War on shortwave. I'm too young to remember the great superpower battles
on SW as told in Passport 1998 (I think) so Voice of Korea is useful in
showing the little ones like myself what once was, although I find it
boring.

I'm receiving them about an S-7 on my 20 meter delta loop (oriented
NE-SW).

What are they doing to your S-meter in Michigan? (and what antenna

you
using to get them on 15Mhz?)

About S-5 here on the R8B, no preamp. I'm getting slightly better

results
using
the 200' wire running E-W rather than the 70' wire running N-S.

I'm hearing the Voice of Korea on 15280 khz at 2120 UTC.
I don't think i've ever heard them on this freq. Has anyone

else?

Is this a new freq for them?

Nice signal. The darn little buggers seem to like changing their
frequencies lately.
