The efforts of that jammer were well noted here in Michigan. The Liberty
Net group did a fine job in that Electronic Warfare environment. The
Electronic Counter Measures that the Liberty Net group used were also
well noted and they were classic textbook examples of what fine highly
trained radio operators can accomplish in such a hostile situation. I
was still able to follow the situation from here by the use of two (2)
Icom R71-A receivers. The Liberty Net radio operators routinely shifted
their transmissions from primarily 3.958.0 LSB, to 3.947.5 LSB and USB.
The Liberty Net effectively used 'scouts' to seek other frequencies for
their transmissions
and also employed deception techniques such as their use of their
"secret frequency" so that the enemy jammer was distracted. The Liberty
Net group continued to transmit that there is a real need in the United
States of America for some form of effective law enforcement to prevent
the efforts of legal radio transmissions from being jammed. The group
mentioned that the location of the enemy transmitter was located
somewhere in the state of New Jersey.
The Liberty Net continued to mention that the telephone number for
reporting FCC violations was 1-717-338-2502. Once again, a fine effort
by all of those on the Liberty Net.
