If you want a REALLY snapppy browser, look at Mozilla Firebird. It's
in pre-milestone release currently at v 0.6. But it's small, very fast,
and very stable.


I've been using it as my default browser, with 1.4s mail client (also
currently under revision).

There is an installer version of Firebird on the website, but it's
hard to find.

Here's a link to the page with an unoffical Windows installer build.
It's written by the same guys who build the official installers for
Mozilla, and it makes all the necessary registry entries so you can
install plug-ins. I've had no problems with it since install, but this
is still a pre 1.0 release, so if you're inclined to bitch...you may
want to pass.
