Behold, --- Bill --- signaled from keyed 4-1000A filament:
The "phone line antenna" is a good way to see just *how* much unwanted
interference you can pump into a radio before burning something out.

You won't be laughing when BPL arrives in your neighborhood, and does
something similar to your rig via its power cord, and damages it.
There was a discussion of this on the Red Star Files on WBCQ just last
Friday, 8pm AST, 9329.7 kHz. The guest claimed that the noise can get
past most surge suppressors, and recommended uninterruptible power
supplies.

Were they talking about a UPS to supress noise or prevent damage? I'd think
if BPL can damage a radio, it could damage most electronic appliances.
