When will Larry be getting back on radio and taking calls from all
those cretins he swindled?

Y.P., were you listening to him back during that strange interlude and finale
of the "loan" strangeness?

Yep. I started tuning in maybe 3 months before he started plugging
Little Scam as the solution to his and his listeners' financial woes.

I found his program fascinating in a mental/logical-health way. He
would spend 2 days a week pleading for money to pay the airtime bill
for the week -- 2 days of which was spent pleading for the money. If
he hadn't devoted so much time to begging, he wouldn't have needed to
beg so much.

Although I doubt my sanity when I recall it, at one point I could
swear he was running a garage sale over the air! Auctioning off broken
lamps, old lawnmowers and the like. Wish I'd taped that. I'm still not
sure I wasn't having a hallucination.

It was amazing after those performances that WWCR didn't pull the plug
on him. How could they not see that his trailer's junk wasn't gonna
pay the bills? Even crazier was when they let him start running his
ponzi scheme on the air. I kept waiting to hear the Treasury officials
show up at the transmitter, or his trailer. The hilarious explanations
for why those endless monthly letters with free money in them hadn't
started arriving yet were also a real hit with me!

His old web site used to have a BB board where people would all post
about Little Bay. 1/4 realized they had been scammed; 3/4 "kept the
faith" with Larry. And a few wise-asses posted ridicule directed at
all of them. I used to read it for laughs every 3 or 4 days. Shortly
before it was mysteriously taken down, some joker posted that s/he had
gotten a full refund from Little Bay. That got them all hopeful all
over again. And outraged that they hadn't been reimbursed. I imagine
that was the cause of the BB's disappearance!

I had been listening to hiim for quite a while before then and I was totally
dumbfounded when that weirdness transpired. I got the impression that he
really and truly believed it was real which would make him one of the most
naive people to have surfaced in the last 100 years.

He could well have been a sucker too. He never struck me as
particularly high-functioning mongoloid.

But as I say, I was more impressed by the stupidity of the folks at
WWCR. When a guy is using a pyramid scheme to try to get the money to
pay his bills, it's time to withhold credit.

I think he told himself at least seven impossible things before breakfast.

Instead, he should have swallowed a frog every morning and the rest of the
day wiuld have just been peachy-keen.

Ah yes! He had a voice made for pantomime. Have you seen the pic of
him on his new website? It looks like his head is 7 sizes too small
for the rest of him -- exactly as I'd have guessed from hearing his
show!
