Actually, DeWayne, the FRG-7 didn't drift at all -- the reason is
because it was based upon an auto-correcting Wadley loop circuit. If
you do a Google search on "Wadley loop" or "Barlow-Wadley" you'll find
quite a bit of information about that type of receiver. It was a
novel circuit, which afforded terrific accuracy (rare in analog dials
on consumer-grade shortwave radios) and zero drift.

that problem. And yes, the sync detector is awsome on the SAT 800!
