The ATS-909/DX-398 come with US presets already programmed when sold
in the US The rest of the world it comes with a different set of
preprogrammed stations, you can set the worldwide stations without
reentering ech frequency manually.
Itereses anything in your radios memory even your clock sp everything
must be reprogrammed. Theres a DX-398 FAQ onlin3 that tells you how to
do this. You dont need to rake the radio apart just press certain
buttons. Do a gogle searth fo DX398 FAQ and it will be listed there

I though the DX-398's stock-internal SW memories could not be erased
or changed. Somehow, I've accidently managed to erase/change a bunch
of the stock memories in my unit.

And how do I correct this? Removing the batteries and/or using the
reset switch do not reset the memories.
