Children are dying for lack of proper medical care and needed
medicines due to the United States 40 year boycott of Cuba. Haven't we
killed enough? Have you no shame America? Based upon the historical
record the answer is a resounding NO! How sad.

For a change I can almost agree with you on this one. The only
thing is that Cuba has better healthcare than the US does, and it's
free! They also have a higher literacy rate than the US does. And all
that in spite of our format trade boycott.

I agree that it's truly warped to refuse to trade with Cuba and then
point to their "third-rate" economy. If we really want to see change
there, we should extend the hand of (business) friendship and trade
with them.

But if we trade with them we'd have to import their sugarcane, which
would hurt many of the 'cane growers in Florida and elsewhere in the
South. And they lobby Congress while Cuba does not. Money is power,
after all.
