Well, the radio I'm currently using with this antenna is the
Yaesu FRG-7, which has a built - in preselector. Mr. Greer
really came up with quite a design, didn't he? It's cheap, too.
I think the antenna works well enough without a tuner, but
I know there are plenty of easy ways to put a tuner together.
Of course, there are some really good / cheap commercial
designs out there. The MFJ tuners without wattmeter would
do really well in this application. Unless you're planning to
use it for transmitting, the wattmeter just adds $$$ to the cost.

| to be S8 is now S1. Stations literally "pop out" of the quiet
