Overall, I've found SW reception tonight to be godawful. The solar
flare-up yesterday must have been a lulu.

The bands were stinky-bad yesterday. I was on the 20 meter amateur radio
band yesterday and could only scare up about 6 SSB contacts in 3 hours time.
The higher bands were not being used much either, even though I was able to
copy several beacons from Florida and Mexico here into Minnesota, so I know
that 10 meters was open, at least to the south of me.

On the other hand, I logged KWHR in Hawaii here in Michigan tonight
(a first). Whether that is related to the reception oddities, or just
"good luck", I don't know, though.

Propagation is a very capricious, strange thing!

Good DX and 73,

Jackie
