Maybe WBAP-820? They had always been one of the bigger clear channels
out of Dallas. MK
No, WBAP is non-directional.
My guess is he was looking at KFXR-1190. (long known as KLIF) IIRC
they use *twelve* towers at night - they have fewer towers for daytime,
at a different location.
