Thanks for the referral !

unfortunately, the DX-394 has a short tuning shaft so unless the new
tuning knob has an extended receptacle to extend a bit into the radio
the knob won't stay on. the 394 shaft is about 1/4 inch too short for
my knob or for some of the other knobs I have tried.
I have not been able to come up with a STABLE way to extend the shaft.
