Had the 7600;
got the Icom R-75;
I also Put up an external antenna.

The Icom R-75 can pick up Vomats( sp ??) broadcasting from the Canary
Islands & Hams from Colorado & Pirates all over & the Tower at Diego Garcia.
- And I THINK a ham in Antartica.;
- & of course BBC from Ascension Island.

The 7600, on the other hand, had slightly better sound on SW..

- So for SW music shows, keep the 7600;

- For digging out really hard stuff, hams in poor reception conditions,
get the R-75

I am considering the Icom R75 and Sony SW77. I like to listen to hams
and shortwave broadcasts. I will only be using the radio at home. I
currently have the Sony 7600GR. Tuning hams is too tedious with the
7600GR. Can anyone compare the R75 and SW77? Great group!
