I am considering the Icom R75 and Sony SW77.

=R= Basically:
+ Fixed Location go with the Icom IC-R75
+ Portable go with the Sony SW77.

I like to listen to hams and shortwave broadcasts.

=R= Icom IC-R75 with an external Speaker is very good for
listening to AM Internaltional SW Broadcasts and has more
"TOOLS" to hear SSB Amateur Transmissions.

I will only be using the radio at home.

=R= Fixed Location go with the Icom IC-R75 plus:
* External Speaker
* Outside SWL Antenna
* Good 'earhen' Ground

I currently have the Sony 7600GR.

=R= Nice Radio and either the Sony SW77 or Icom R75 would be
a real improvement over it.

Tuning hams is too tedious with the 7600GR.

=R= Icom IC-R75 is simple and easy to use
and Tune SSB Amateur Transmissions.

Can anyone compare the R75 and SW77? Great group!
