When it comes to the GE models, yes. Other radios they made that look
similar to the Superadio series are actually quite different circuit-wise.
Though you may experience performance levels above many other portables
(primarily because of the larger loopsticks), the basic chassis is pretty
much the same as any other small portable, or an IC pocket radio. Adding
larger antennas to those other portables will often bring their performance
up to these higher levels (think of what a loop antenna does for most
portables, it doesn't make so much difference on a properly aligned SRI or
II {there's no such thing as a properly aligned SRIII...})
