This evening (Wed. Jan 07) at about 7:15 PM I was tuning my SW
between
8.000 and 9.000 USB, and when I got to 8.425, I heard a signal
that I
have never heard before in all my years of SWL. Of course it is
nearly
impossible to accurately describe a 'sound', but the best I can do
is
say that it sounded like a UK ambulance:
DAHduhDAHduhDAHduhDAHduhDAHduh......
Anyone know what I was hearing?
Thanks for the verification, fellas.
Reading your responses, it dawned on me that I forgot to include my
location and equipment.
East central Arkansas; Sangean ATS-909, 15 ft. wire attached to the
antenna, indoors.
I heard the signal again this morning at about 8:30 AM cst, same
frequency.
Listening to that frequency now at 12:56 and it's 2 alternating tones.
