Radio Congo on 5985, seemingly with a crash start at 0430, opening

The co-channel interference (though weak) was WYFR, in Spanish beamed to the
Caribbean until 0445. Then at 0455 WYFR came back up on the frequency with a
killer signal, *0500 with Mandarin beamed to Asia.
I'd forgotten how much I disliked WYFR! I recall sitting around with other
DX'ers at DXpeditions in the 80's fantasizing about launching an assault on
their transmitter site, and taking the transmitters out. Pesky little
devils. At times I think they have around 10 transmitters going out of
there. Reminds one of the old days when Radio Moscow occupied a lot of
channels, much as the Chinese do today.
