Links to websites would be very much
appreciated.
The "best" (highest-capacity) batteries are the Powerex 2200 mAh. In
fact Powerex is usually the best or close to it for any given mAh
rating class.
The best value-for-money is probably Lenmar. Their actual capacity
is a good bit lower than their rated capacity, but Lenmar batteries
are so cheap that they are excellent value. I bought a pack of 10
Lenmar "2000 mAh" (which are really around 1800 mAh) for about US$10.

I agree on the Powerex batteries & MAHA charger combination. I hear
tell that the 2200 mAh rating is really more like 1900 - 2000, this is
from a distributor of MAHA/Powerex products who also followed up that
statement by saying that all batteries he checked out were below rated
capacity but the Powerex were not as far below rated capacity as the
others. I do know that I've got to work at discharging them when used
in my digital camera, so who am I to quibble about a couple hundred
mAh's?? A nice feature with the MAHA charger is it came with a
cigarette lighter cord as well as a wall-wart so if you're travelling
via auto you can charge while you're on the road. Purchaed from
Thomas and got the charger with dual power source, 8 batteries and
nifty little plastic battery cases for about $50 - so far this has
been my best investment in rechargeables.
