I dunno, the first several people who posted all reported good results
dealing with Universal - then a day or so later people with complaints
started posting.

It probably depends on what you're ordering.

It probably also depends on how you deal with them.

If the first question you ask is "what's your best price" you give the
impression rock bottom price is more important to you than good service,
and you're not likely to become a loyal customer.

If you talk down to them, they're not likely to enjoy helping you.

If you're friendly and reasonable, most people will put a little extra
effort into trying to reciprocate.

Reasonable advice for sure, but in my experience, Universal
does:
(a) ship out returned radios (even with wear marks) as new; and
(b) lie about their stock situation.

In the purchases involved, I accepted their posted Web
price, i.e. no hagling (sp?), and certainly never talked
down to them.

Of course, one is just as likely to get a *new* radio as
opposed to a returned radio from Universal -- it all depends
on the status of their returns, I would think. (If your
feeling lucky, go ahead and throw the dice.)
