Sometimes I think modern electronics try to be too smart for their own
good. Fewer and fewer items contain a basic electromechanical switch
that when you turn it off, actually disconnects the power!


Charles, thanks very much. I wish I'd used the radio more now in the
last couple of years, rather than letting it sit in storage. Might
not have prevented the problem, but there again it probably didn't
help to be left sitting unused.

Yes, right now, I wish it had a simple rotating switch that went from
ON to OFF!
