Hello:

New at this.

Might anyone please suggest some frequencies that it "might" be
possible to pick up the BBC direct from England on ?

Live outside of Boston, and would like to listen between, e.g., 7 and
11 PM (Boston time).

Thanks,
Bob

Do you mean LF, MF or HF? On LF (198kHz) you get BBC Radio 4 (talk).

On MF, you get BBC Radio 5 (sports) on 693 and 909 kHz and also the low-
powered local radio stations.

You also get BBC World Service on 648kHz which may be receivable.

There are dozens of BBC World Service frequencies on HF.

All of the other stations are FM only or digital (DAB/DVB/Satellite) only.

See http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/radio_transmitters/ for transmitters and
power. All the stations are available on the Internet (Real Player) at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/ - so you can identify what you might receive.

This includes the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Ireland services (and the
Welsh language and Scots Gaelic transmissions).
