I love coming home from my local flea market with that PRO-43 I paid $5 and
looking on eBay to see them going for $100. Or the time I bought my near
mint RF-2600 for $20. Or the DX-440 for $20. Those are just a few examples
of MANY killer deals that can be had if you look in the right places. (using
eBay as a comparison)

On the other hand, I HAVE gotten what I consider a good deal on eBay. I
don't think $100 for a mint condition PRO-60 scanner is too much...

Exactly the way I see it. And remember, the final price is basically
determined by the person who wants the item _not_quite_as_much_ as the
person who won it.

I don't understand why some people like to complain about what other
people bid on ebay. My favorite ebay stories are the items I get for much
less than what I bid for them.
