Lloyds seemed to be the best, the CB stuff with their name on it was
really pretty decent. I had several walkie talkies that were identical
to ones sold at Allied and Lafayette. I had one that had a three
channels, a solid aluminum case, and had selectable 100mw or 300mw Tx
power. I had that thing for about 10 years, it died of old age, all
the
switches were totally worn out.
