I didn't last night, but I have many times before.

WBCQ is a national treasure for SWL's.

For me, he most enjoyable thing about WBCQ is that can tune it in once an
hour in any four consecutive hour

and it will seem like four different
radio stations -- you never know WHAT you'll hear on WBCQ

How true Stinger. In my living room listening post, I usually keep the DX-100
(my 1st receiver) tuned to it.

I did a little tuning on that piece tonight and have left it on for the last
three days in a row. I never noticed before but when I was listening to 'Amos
& Andy' the other night, another station was pretty close.

I switched it to ssb and tuned the bfo and then the fine tuning and it was
'crystal'..and I mean crystal clear. ...completely got rid of that station.

Brought back the joy of using my first piece. What do you think about just
leaving a receiver on all the time? A friend of mine said "it wouldn't hurt
it".....but my thinking is "why have it on if I'm not home or thirty miles
away?"

Once it warms up good (hour or two) it doesn't drift, so I don't see the
thinking in leaving it on all the time unless I want a short lived mint DX100.
;-)

But back to WBCQ, it really is one of the finest going around the bands IMO.
BTW, I have the DX399 next to the 100 in case I gotta know the exact freq.:-)
That's a hot little receiver in its own rite.

I have high hopes that WRMI in Miami will follow their lead.

I know I've heard them or about them. What does the letters stand for and
where are they on the dial?

Thanks:-)
