Interested in your external bicycle antenna. Care to share details?

Howard

Hi Howard..

- Well the Bicycle Antenna ( Trade marked, protected by patents, etc. )
came into being due to poor Shortwave reception on the Jwin JX M-14 whilst
riding a 18 speed Bike.
Signals would fade in & out, meainig I couldn't hear " Planet World News" &
such while steering around Potholes & racing past Homless People.
(& No I Don't Live In San Diego )

In any case..
- So , I took about 12 feet of #22 stranded, plastic coated wire,
hooked two alligator clips to it & wound most of it around the top support on
the Bike.
One end clipped to the Aluminum Bicycle rack, Other end goes to the antenna.
Will let you know how it all work out ( POTHOLE ! ! ! ! TRUCK ! ! !
SCREEEEEECH... )

I was envsioning a whip mounted to the frame, I guess you are a bit
more fashion conscious than I. Should you find yourself wanting to
try something different for your antenna the following site may be of
use, it's BMHA - Bicycle Mobile Hams of America.

Have fun & ride safely,
