Gentlemen,
I installed a 140 ft wire in hopes to match it on all HF bands. It
plays nicely through my ATU. I would like to modify this setup by
using about 20 ft.of coax inside the house (for a better look). Is
there a known matching scheme to accomodate the wire to the coax? What
other problems might I encounter?
Thanks for any help

I'm using roughly 140 feet of end-fed wire. Coax runs from the shack
out to underneath the near end of the wire, where I have a 4:1 balun.
One side of the balun goes to the wire, the other side goes to a ground
rod. TS-940S, IC-746PRO, and IC-703 all manage to match it on all HF
bands with no trouble. Coax length is not critical, but the balun
seems to help quite a bit.
