You're missing one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It's called
"Drop
Dead Gorgeous," and it takes place in that fictional town in Minnesota.
The
whole thing is done as a fake documentary, and is absolutely hilarious.
Everyone in the movie talks exactly like you write.

Really? I saw that one... didn't hear any put-on accents like they have in
"Fargo", which was OK, but strange in the Coen Brothers sense of strange.
Actually, I think the best Coen Bros. movie was "Oh Brother, Where Art
Thou?" which did for the far rural south what "Fargo" did for the far rural
north.
