Everything is portable. It just depends on how hard you want to work.
Remember the old Japanese portable TVs? Portable meant it had a handle on

The Drake SW8 had all that and more but wasn't cheap. The "Grundig"
Sat800
is a low cost clone of the SW8 and you might find a used one for less
than
$300 on Ebay.
