Dear Ed,
My name is ------- and I have wrote you before but didn't have much money

to
send you because of the spot I'm in but I don't know if you know about
'newsgroups' on the internet or it is also called 'usenet.'

[snip}

I googled up the Old Time Radio FAQ:

http://www.faqs.org/faqs/radio/old-time-faq/

If you want to bring up the topic on another newsgroup, you might try:

alt.radio.oldtime

There's newsgroups for distributing old time radio. These are on my
newsserver:

alt.binaries.sound.radio.oldtime

alt.binaries.sounds.radio.oldtime

alt.binaries.sounds.radio.oldtime.highspeed

Here's some websites which might be useful:

http://www.genericradio.com/

http://www.genericradio.com/library.htm

http://www.lib.umd.edu/LAB/

http://www.lib.umd.edu/LAB/scripts.html

Ed Bolton might also be able to sell his tapes commercially.

I don't have a big interest in old time radio, but it's not hard to find in
the Chicago area. I first heard it thirty some years ago, when Chuck
Schaden had a show on a suburban commercial station. He now has a similar
show on a large college station.

I heard Carl Amari's first old time radio programs when he started out on a
10 watt junior college station about 20 some years ago. He is now doing his
When Radio Was" show starting weekday midnights central time on WBBM 780,
out of Chicago. He is also in charge of the Twilight Zone radio show which
is broadcast on WGN 720 midnight Saturday night.

Of course, "Unshackled" is made at the Pacific Garden Mission, just south of
the Loop.
