I have the same problem..

I contacted AOL Tech support;
its a system problem, they don't have any idea when it'll be fixed..

This AOL Usenet reader would let me read, but not reply. Based on past
experience, it's either someone making a complaint or AOL has some sort of
maximum number of allowable replies in a 24-hour period.
