Try relatively clear ship's varnish or what is sold as such. It's designed
for harsh weather protection and has no effect on antenna performance. I
have used the stuff on copper magloops. Keeps a nice appearance for ages.

Hi All,
I recently made a Moxon rectangle for 2 meters and used 1/2 inch copper
tubing for the elements. When finished, I polished the tubing and coated

it
with a clear coat acrylic. It's a true work of art with shiny copper,
stained oak and brass screws for fixing but the acrylic is so brittle that

I
can simply scrape it off with my thumb nail.
Is there another clear coat I can use that will be much stronger?
Polyurethane? Some form of epoxy? Or, does acrylic have some property

that
doesn't affect/interfere/interact with RF?
Best Regards,
