How come all you neocons that are so busy rationalizing a moral

base for
torture are ignoring the words of your own leader?

All neocons? Painting with a rather wide brush here, yes?

What *exactly* is a "neocon"?

From Ask Jeeves:

Neoconservative - A "neocon" is more inclined than other

conservatives
toward vigorous government in the service of the goals of

traditional
morality and pro-business policies. Tends to favor a very strong

foreign
policy of America as well.

This is OK, but any definition that makes the "strong foreign policy"
aspects of neo-conservatism an afterthought is less than adequate. It
is the dissatisfaction with the left's appeasement of the Soviet Union
that was at the core of the origins of the neoconservative movement.
Since the -true- neoconservative is a former liberal (something I
haven't been able to get through Mr. Bryant's head), the part about
"vigorous government" is pretty close since many neocons are closer to
liberals on domestic policy.
