The "Frankenstein" roof wire that I have

is not a very good
MW antenna.


I can imagine. The signals are coming from everywhere and can't be seperated,
you need to be able to turn your antenna to the side/back/up/down/around to
null out stronger stations to hear weaker stations and a good tuning capacitor
to cover the BCB.

Then before you even move your loop, you can tune the Variable Cap to peak the
station and then if needed, moved the loop slowly to the left or right to get
rid of any unwantd signal. Nothing like it, nothing like dxing the BCB with a
nice size loop that you are controlling right in front of you and then hearing
the difference as you're doing it. :-)
