However, all of a sudden, I lost the portion of the broadcast 88-108 mhz
FM band. At a point below 95.7 mhz the display turned to 9989.3 and
would not tune lower. Above that frequency the FM band works fine,
as does the full range of all the other bands.
I've had similar problems with a Sony 6800W. Try some DeOxit spray on the
inside on the bandswitch knob. If you aren't that courageous, try repeatedly
switching bands for several minutes and see if that helps.
