Most people, especially beginners, don't want to spend alot of money for a
SW radio. DRM needs inexpensive, good quality, widely available receivers
if it's backers want it to get out of it's niche.

Of course, the most important thing for the popularity of SW is popular
programming. It's too bad Air America isn't on SW.

It seems as though they can barely afford to be on MW.

But I'm sure that they are seriously working on obtaining public funds.
