Isn't that like saying "A little pregnant" or "The bullet *almost*
missed him"? International incidents have been caused by very small
pieces of real estate...it's something about territorial integrity,
something Washington seems to be painfully unaware of.


I'm sure if some Canadian soldiers strayed a few yards into the US
by accident it would not cause an incident. These days Spain is
supposed to be a member of NATO anyway.

One bit of beach looks much like any other and they had the good
sense to regroup quickly. In the past the Spanish Police have
landed illegally on our beaches, the second time they came the
RGP were waiting for them. The British squaddies were not stupid
enough to make the same mistake again here.
