antenna is V- ed. not in a straight line. the limited
instruction that came with the ant shows a picture of
a V inline/ straight. i know what your thinking; me too.
i contacted alpha-delta and ask about this, they said
i could mount it center up and legs at 90 degrees with
almost no lose of receive eff. it almost becomes a
double sloper at less than 90 degrees. been a long time
that i played with ant. the alpha-delta will be 40 ft and
the long wire will be lowered to 20 ft. like Steve said-
play with and see what ya get. almost ready to retire here,
so, i got time before the winter returns..
thanks really high frequency. let you guys know how i
make out here...

DRIFTER,
If as you describe your current Antenna set-up with the Top-Fed
Double Sloper laid out in a Horizontal "V". IIRC the reception
pattern of this Antenna configuration tends to be 'directional'
from the Apex of the "V" towards the End-Tips.
