BUT It still does reasonably well,

( I can pick up WWV in Wheeling West Virginia
(And hear " The Coal Mine report" at 10:00 P.M. )

- so it's OK on that front..

Thanks Dan. I'd be using it mostly for SW DX, but
seeing as my portables get the Yankees' flagship station
WCBS 880 in NYC, not to mention longer distances, I think
the Icom will fill the bill as well.
