Default FCC fines 2 pirates $13,000 today

Israel has been proposing a harsh law against pirates because pirates
(presumably FM) have been interfering with air traffic at Ben Gurion
International Airport to the extent that the air traffic controllers
threatened to strike.

The trouble is that SOME pirates, mainly associated with religious
settlers, such as Arutz Shevah (a7.org / israelnationalnews.org) and
the Shas (religious Jews from Arabic countries) pirates have political
representation. Since Israel has proportional representation (no
districts - you vote for a party list) governments are coalitions of
parties and small parties have disproportionate power.
